A master's thesis at the College of Education for Humanities at Kirkuk University discussed the critical discourse in the Dubai Cultural Magazine – 2008 as a case study.The thesis, submitted by student Maria Juma Ali, examined the critical discourse published in the Dubai Cultural Magazine during 2008 by identifying the most prominent critical issues and trends addressed in the magazine, analyzing the methods and levels of critical discourse employed in its treatment of literary and intellectual texts, studying the nature of the critical content and its mechanisms, and demonstrating the magazine's contribution to following the Arab critical and literary movement.
