Kirkuk University Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Formulating a Balanced Digital Penal Policy

The College of Law and Political Science at Kirkuk University organized a seminar titled "Towards Building a Balanced Digital Criminal Policy: An Analytical Study of the Draft Iraqi Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes."The seminar aimed to shed light on the draft Iraqi law on combating information technology crimes, which is currently before the Council of Representatives.Participants discussed how to formulate a modern criminal policy that strikes a precise balance between enhancing digital security and protecting the cyberspace of institutions and individuals, while also safeguarding the fundamental rights, freedoms, and freedom of expression guaranteed by the Iraqi Constitution.
